Our nation has been presented with a great challenge. The landscape that stretches across Louisiana's Border with the Gulf of Mexico, valuable coastal wetlands, known as America's Wetlands, are vanishing at the staggering rate of 24 square miles each year. This affects the ecology and economy of not just Louisiana, but the nation and the world. It also risks the lives and unique cultures of coastal residents who often face grave danger from storm surge and hurricane winds.
Coastal restoration projects must be implemented to stop this American tragedy. We are intent on making this issue a national priority and will need your help. We hope you find this website informative and useful, and that it persuades you to join with us in taking action to save coastal Louisiana. It is more than just our land and our livelihoods. It is also our heritage and our homes. Help us keep it alive.
